Generally when classifying a tree for removal there are four different categories that the trees can fit in. There are the small trees which go up to thirty feet all. These small trees generally can be removed for $120 to $450 each. Then there are medium sized trees which range from thirty to sixty feet tall. The average price to remove one of these trees is between $175 to $1000 each. Any tree that is between sixty and eighty feet is classified as a large tree and will run you between $400 and $1100 a piece to be removed. Very large trees or trees that are eighty to one hundred feet tall will cost between $950 and $1400 each to be removed. These estimates can be pretty accurate for the most part but size is not the only factor that has to be considered when having a tree removed.
The trees location plays a large part in the price of the estimate given to remove the tree. If the tree surrounded by expensive property the risk involved will increase the cost of the removal. It is important to know exactly what you want done with the undesired tree. Usually the very small debris left over from a tree being cut down will be removed from the property by the tree crew free of charge. The larger pieces however will often times not be included in the estimate. Many companies charge to chip up the larger pieces and to remove the chips if that is desired. Stump removal will also almost always be an extra charge. To have a stump ground down will take a separate piece of equipment and can add another 300 to 500 dollars on to the price of the removal.
